We finally found a nice lounge and enquired of the price.. it was 1000 thai baht for a few hours. The lounge provided showers, toilets (obviously), as much food and drink as you like to just walk up to and help yourself, comfy seats to sleep on, tables to sit at and most importantly.
I sat down on one of the chairs and then headed straight to the food and drink! I get fairly travel sick and after not feeling so fresh on the previous flight I didn't want to eat too much, however helped myself to probably 6 or 7 pieces of banana cakes (not all at once of course!!) and a few cheese sandwiches (my fav). What made these sarnies even nicer was that they were just plain basic cheese on plain beautiful white bread! Couldn't ask for anything better! I also had a taste of a thai cuisine which was like fried and favoured chicken on rice..
After a couple of bits to eat I made my way to the private shower rooms! Nothing felt better than that shower the whole journey, however I wish I had taken clean clothes in my hand luggage because nothing felt worse than putting on the leggings, vest and jumper, not to mention underwear, I had been wearing since the last morning when I left Southampton!!
After updating my parents via email and updating my facebook status, we left the lounge and had a look around the airport. Bangkok was also surprisingly big, but it was so so confusing!! All of it looked the same so you could walk round in circles without even realizing it!! The shops too were designer and pretty flash.. if I hadn't have been so tired I would have headed straight for Tiffany's & Co. :)
After our mouuch we took a seat to rest our arms from our bags and I promptly fell asleep for what seemed like forever, however only ended up being 15 minutes when I looked at the time on my phone!! The boarding time soon came and we headed down to the gate and for Christchurch, via Sydney Australia!!
