I just wanted to give you a quick update so that no one is worried. I made it to Nelson, New Zealand yesterday (Thursday the 13th of January) (Nelson is 19 hours ahead of the East Coast) with out any problems. It was just a long trip. But I was pleasantly met by friends of Jeff (the vet with whom I will be working) so I didn't have to take a cab. Taya is a little bit older than me and is being very nice to include me in lots! We are headed to the beach this afternoon. Then I am having dinner with Sonja (one of Jeff's employees who lives in the apartment downstairs) and her boyfriend Brendon. They also invited me to a concert this evening. I am not feeling too tired from jet lag so hopefully I can make it through tonight. I went to bed last night at 9:30 and slept for a full 12 hours.
Everyone is just so nice and welcoming here. And it is beautiful! Today it is very sunny and around 18 degrees Celsius with a great breeze. My camera battery is charging right now so I will have pictures and videos up soon!
I can't wait to tell more stories as they happen! I miss you all and wish you could be here!

Woohooo! So glad you made it and it sounds like everything is going well :) And don't you worry, Mary and I ate a whole pint of ben and jerry's on the way to the airport, just for you ;) Love ya and can't wait to hear more!
