Hello Everyone!!!
Sorry about the delay of a report about my trip thus far. I made it to Atlanta on Tuesday the 4th of January without any problems. It was so wonderful to get a chance to spend time with just Jacel and Chad and their friends for a few days. I haven't spent time just the two of us, Jacel and I, in years. It was great to get a chance to catch up and really see Jacel and Chad's life together in Georgia. They have a great house with a great back yard and cute dog named Jed.
Jacel and I went riding on Wednesday. I got a chance to ride her horse named Gunner. He was so much fun to ride and such a talented guy! We rode on a standardbred racing track which was just across the street from the barn where Jacel works with Jacel's friend Ashley. It was so much fun! Then that night Jacel and I and a couple of her friends went out to eat and drink although my stomach couldn't handle the hot wings so the drinking didn't go so well. But we did go next door to the restaurant after dinner to get some of the most expensive ice cream and chocolates that I had ever bought. But you know me, I can't pass up a chance for ice cream. :)
The next day (Thursday) Jacel had off work so she took me into Atlanta to see the amazing aquarium. We had so much fun! The aquarium was definitely the biggest that I had ever seen. So many beautiful fish and reptiles and mammals!!! After the aquarium, we found a cute old-fashioned diner downtown that had the best milk shakes. Yes, more ice cream!!! That night, Jacel, Chad, and I took it easy and stayed in. Chad cooked a great steak, corn, and mashed potato dinner, and we watched "The Back-up Plan". It was a great meal, Thank you Chad! It was all very relaxing.
The next day I went with Jacel to her work again and I got a chance to ground drive one of the ponies in training. It was my first time ground driving. "Yee-Haw" :) It was a lot of fun! Then, unfortunately my time with Jacel and Chad in Georgia was over. Jacel took me to the airport before she had to be back to work but not before eating the best chicken, bacon, ranch sub at a place called "Little Phillies". It was a wonderful start to my travels! Thank you so much to Jacel and Chad for a FANTASTIC time!!!!
