Day 5

Rovello. It was only a 40 minute drive but the winding roads are really making me sick.  We arrive in Rovello and the Bus had to drop us off because cars are not allowed in the city.  This city is famous for its ceramics.  They are so beautiful.  We walk the 30 minute walk to our cooking class at Nonna Orsola Restruant.  The view was spectacular.  It is like being in a dream.  These are the place that you only see in the movie and you really don't think they are real.  We donned our aprons and chiefs hats and started to work.  I pealed the potatoes and chopped the parsley.  Everyone was given a duty.  We made the most delicious meal and then we ate it.  I loved the chief, he was incredible.  Our group is incredible. I think we have been spoiled.  Lynn said we are the most wonderful group that she has ever had.  I believe it.  It’s like we have know each other for years.  Everyone has a different story. It’s amazing that so many backgrounds can have so much in common.  Love of travel can really bond you but it something more.

A young woman working in one of the food shops told us that we were the first people to be nice to her all day; she called us her friends from God.  She spoke German, French, English and Italian and I said that was wonderful and she said "yes wonderful but looked where I work."  So we have named our group “Friends from God”.  Lovely.  Onward ho!
