Cape Tribulation, Australia

Off on a two night trip to Cape Tribulation, north of Cairns. We stay at Ferntree resort, a very swish hotel that has been transformed into a hostel to cater for the backpackers. On arrival we headed down to the beach where we invented a new game "sandnuts" which helps to keep us occupied for a few hours. We sneak our bundy and coke into the pub tonight and settle down to watch some rugby. On our 2nd day here we walk to Masons Pool, a natural watering hole in the middle of the rainforest. It is stunning and very very cold. The sun cuts through the trees above as we go for a swim and jump in off the rocks. On our 3rd day we go on a cruise down the Daintree River to go Croc spotting. We spot about 4 crocodiles in total sunning themselves on the side of the river, they are very fierce looking! We also spot 2 amythestine pythons, a few green tree snakes and a green lipped tree frog who hitches a ride on our boat, very very cute!
