First off was a brief stop in Pambula for breakfast where I got to see a strange sight of kangaroos in a field on my left and men in kilts playing the bagpipes in a field on my right, no idea what they were doing there (the kilts, not the kangaroos)but pretty sure I won't see it in Scotland! Today also brought our first sighting of a wombat, it was absolutley huge but unfortunately dead in the middle of the road, oh well, we'll keep trying for a live one!

We then crossed the border into Victoria, our second state. After a hint from someone in our previous hostel we caught a ferry over to Raymond Island to try and spot some wild koalas and low and behold saw 3 of them! They are sooo cute and you just want to give them a cuddle but they do have pretty big claws so probably best to resist that temptation. We did get very close to one of them though, almost close to touch and he was gorgerous. There was also thousands of parrots on the island and the noise they made was amazing!

As night came we got diverted off the main road due to an accident or something and ended up driving down a very long and very very dark inland road in the middle of nowhere trying to dodge kangaroos, foxes, wombats and scary truckdrivers who we were afraid might be feeling a bit too lonely for their own good!

Finally arrived at Turoa tourist park where we were to spend the night and found out it had a spa pool, heaven!!
