We arrived in Monument Valley after a spectular drive across the painted desert highway. Canyons, mesas and buttes everywhere - it is one of the most impressive drives we have ever taken. This was followed by an afternoon trip into Monument Valley. This is the landscapes of westerns such as Stagecoach and almost every other John Wayne film. The natural beauty of the area and the dramatic landscape is impossible to describe - hopefully these pictures convey some of it.
