I thought I had sent this news off last week but everyone tells me they haven't received it so will sent if off again.  Since writing it, the weather has broken and we have woken up to wet weather today which is a pity as Sasha is taking a ferry from Holland to England today and it would have been much nicer had the sun been shining.  Also my niece Becky had her driving test this morning.  However, the rain stopped and the sun miraculously shone for just the half hour of her test and she passed.  So all is well.   Here is the news I thought I posted the other day.

Well it is amazing.  It hasn't rained since I arrived apart from the odd spit which did no good at all. The grass is going yellow everwhere and everyone is watering like mad and worried about hosing restrictions.  Apparently it's going to be in the high 30s this weekend. Doesn't sound like England does it?  Sorry about this - hope everyone is coping with the cold and wet back home.

Not much to say.  I am biding my time until my plasters come off next week on 13th July.  We have been to visit my aunty Sheila in Essex but otherwise I haven't done very much.  Am attaching some pics of my brother's house and Sheila's house and garden and the nearby church where some of my mother's ashes will be buried in the family plot. No animals this time sorry, only flowers.

One thing I want to warn everyone is never pick CoverMore insurance as your travel insurance.  I have never dealt with a more incompetent company in my life.  Despite emailing and phoning them every day since my accident they have still not reimbursed me my medical expenses nor sent me my luggage. In fact I have just learned that they have sent my suitcase to Perth despite me being very precise about the luggage having to come to an address in England. They throw money away on sending suitcases to the wrong part of the world, buy 3 business class airline seats for me to and from Italy so that I can raise my leg without finding out that this is pointless because the arm rests between the seats on this airline are fixed and therefore I can't put my leg up and yet they won't reimburse me the money that they legitimately owe me.

Really looking forward to catching up with Sasha soon.  Looks like she may come here now before we go to Paris so I will have the chance to show her a bit of London.

What a gorgeous home Tony has, looks picture perfect! Can't wait to get the next installment. It's cold and wet, miserable weather and TV full of the Julia and Tony show. You aint missing a thing! Love Ali
