Hey guys,
Went up to Sydney this weekend with Sonia and had a great time!
Went shopping saturday morning at Bondi Junction for all the travel clothes and stuff I was missing for my big upcoming trip because it was pouring rain. By noon, everything had cleared up so we went to Coogee beach and took the walk from Coogee to Bondi.. amazing! The walk takes about 80 minutes (one way) and has the most beautiful views of different beaches and bays along the way! During that walk I saw the most beautiful place I had ever seen in my life: Gordon's Bay. I could seriously have stayed there for ever! After our long walk we drove up to Watson's Bay, another pretty view point of the city for sunset. We spent saturday night at home with drinks and tons of junk food considering we were both exhausted! Sonia's brother lives up in Sydney in this gorgeous house but is currently in Italy for 5 weeks so we just stayed at his house.. very convenient!
Sunday morning we got up early again and went to Circular Quay (by the harbour and the bridge and the opera house) and took a ferry up to Manly beach. The ferry ride is about 30 minutes with gorgeous views along the way. We spent a good chunk of the afternoon walking along the beach and sitting down looking at people attempting to surf. Unfortunately the weekend had to come to an end and we drove back to Canberra on Sunday night. The difference in temperature is crazy considering it's only a 3 hour drive! It was about 22 degrees when we left Sydney (wearing flip flop, shorts and tank tops) to get to Canberra where it was about 8 degrees and windy!
That's it for now, hope all is well!
