We said goodbye to the goats, hammer heads, lizards and fisherman of Lake Malawi and made our way toward the Mozambican border.  The last in the countries on our planned route. We hope to reach Lichinga today.

The border crossing was not as pleasant as we had hoped but not all bad either.

This entry might bored some of you as I took at lot of photo's of hand decorated huts.  The photos are taken in the drive and thus not the best but I found it very interesting.  I wish I had the tongue and time to talk to the inhabitants to understand why they decorated it the way they did.

We went through areas where the villages were deserted and could only put it down to the fact that there was no more water in the area.

We reached Lichinga at around 4 pm.  Quinta Camp turned out not to be a camp but a camp in the making.  The owner said we could camp their anyway.  No charge, we could just give the help a tip.  I think this is the place with the worst toilet in all the trip.  Needless to say I did not go near it.  Made use of other means.

We were grateful to them for putting us up.
