From Cape Cross with all its smelly seals to St Nowhere Spa. You heard me, St Nowhere Spa. Complete with a Detox Salt bath and camp site.
The further we traveled the more we realized just how special it would be to find a Spa in these parts. We had to see this for ourselves. Making a special trip just to investigate. Well!! You can judge by the photos if this qualifies as a "Spa".
The closest thing to a “Spa” is the sign! The salt baths look amazing though. They all have a pink tone and it is definitely as natural as you will ever get. This is not the first time we realized that just because it has a sign – it makes it so. There are strings of signs with all the key words to attract tourist. Words like “restaurant”, “Lodge”, “Camp Site”, “tourist info center”, “coffee shop” – etc.
Very disappointed with St Nowhere Spa having nothing but a cold salt vlei pool outside in the cold wind, we carried on to Messum crater.
