Anchorage has a hotel with camping facilities. Nothing to write home about though. Sort of an afterthought with a bit of a back yard feels to it. The Hotel itself offers self catering rooms.  I am glad that we decided not to spend the nigh there and continue to Hole in the Wall.

Anchorage, mainly used by fisherman, has seen better days.   Mdumbi on the other hand is much nicer. There are quite a few "Backpacker" places. Some of them, with camping facilities.  A few spots well appointed with many RSA fishermen.  Oysters and Crayfish on offer everywhere. Did not buy any as we did not know whether it was  in season or not (Legal??)

Mdumbi and Anchorage are on either side of the Umtata River. Umtata river seems to be the biggest river we have crossed so far. The mouth from the north side is fairly flat with swamp areas. From the Mdumbi side is steep and seems to be a paradise for fisherman. Mangroves grow along the edge of the river.
