So this is probably the first of about four times we are going to have to stop in Lima while we zig-zag across Peru to meet up with a couple of friends and do the Inca Trail which we had to book three months ago.
Thankfully, we were pleasantly surprised and Lima, well what we saw in the six hours we were there waiting for our next bus, was not as dirty or as dodgy as we had been forewarned. But, once again it's just another big city. We walked to the centre of town where we met a guy from Peru who had lived in Australia for a couple of months. We had a few beers with him whilst we waited for the bus and got a bit of info about Lima and practiced some Spanish. A new replacement for the Kebab has been found after a few beers - a roast beef roll!
Leaving Lima, we headed off on the night bus to Huaraz.
