With the days well and truly ticking down, we have effectively just spent our last weekend as we know it! Next weekend we are in Colombo to see England play Sri Lanka at cricket, then the following weekend the team is over and after that we'll be on a plane! I have to say we made the most of it by doing absolutely nothing! Yesterday we ventured down to Food City. It was quite a wet day so it was best spent indoors.

This morning it was off to Sunday School and church for our penultimate service - at least he'll have a week off next week from having to preach in English! We'll make up for it the week though when 12 english people take to the pews! With the Sunday School class, there was mention of Joseph, Moses, David, Jesse and Samuel - piece that altogether and that's what the children were taught. Last week I had to draw a picture of the church for them to colour in at home. There were cries of "lasanie" (beautiful) as they showed the teacher the completed pictures. It referred to the colouring in, not be sad attemot at drawing!

It was the turn of Oasis for lunch. They must have known that it could be the last time we dine there as they allowed us to have the buffet which is usually for guests only! Mark was taught a valuable lesson at lunch - to pay more attention to what's on his plate while eating. He realized this when he unintentionally popped a green chilli into his mouth!

Victor and family have said they are coming around for dinner on Tuesday night. We aren't too clear about it, but think they are bringing the food so we'll provide the dessert. However if we've got our wires crossed, we may end up with jelly and tea!

So tomorrow is going to be the start of our last "normal" week before the team comes-better make the most of it I say!
