Yesterday afternoon while sitting outside listening to music, a lovely snake crawled out in front of me. It's been a few weeks now since the last sighting. Maybe it was the mysterious one that was never found in the school or perhaps ones of its friends. Anyway I just let it be and it went off into next door neighbour's garden. They are harmless, well that's what I've been told and that's what I believe! Although I'm sure as it slithered across the path, the chickens trampled on it. I thought there may have been a reaction, like a swallowed whole chicken, but there wasn't!

Today it seemed like all the Smile kids and more were at church! When we first walked in, we thought that we had got the wrong weekend for the youth camp-that it was this weekend not next, but it wasn't! I don't know why it was so crowded with them but it's a good thing to see. It would be hard to get teenagers to sit through a 2hour service at home as well as they did! Also makes you realize you miss them running around the place during the week!

After church we wondered through the Sunday market. I think all the fruit and vegetable produced on the Island were being sold at it. It happens every Sunday and used to be a huge deal before the Tsunami when people would come from all the surrounding areas. That's why so many people were killed here by the Tsunami as they were all at the market. The smells were amazing as we walked around although they canvas that covered the stalls was not high enough for tall Westerners! We had to duck and dive our way around which raised a laugh with the traders. No matter how much we try to blend in, it's times like that that make us stick out like a sore thumb! It was then onto the Peacock for lunch.
