We went to a rather full church service today. As Pastor Victor is still in UK, his wife Anita is looking after the congregation. She also went to Bible College. Today a member of the congregation took the sermon and then Anita paraphrased for us at the end. They are very accommodating and always try to translate as much as possible. You feel very much at home in the church.
After a visit to Food City, we headed to Oasis for a very tasty lunch. We were so full that the 3 of us had to come back for a traditional Sunday afternoon nap! It was at this time I realized we must have a very happy team of builders working on the classrooms! They are working outside my bedroom so all I could hear was them singing away! It made me feel like joining in for a good old sing-along but don't have a clue what they were singing, so I just got my Ipod out instead! Plus we want them to do a good job and my singing probably would have made them run away!
Tonight nothing much is happening except cooking for tomorrow's pot luck. Mark's making trifle without custard or cream (i.e. jelly and fruit), I'm making a pasta salad and Gordon's doing some vegetables Sri Lankan style - Masterchef beckons I think! O and we have 50 bits of paper to finish cutting!
