Yesterday after church I bought my very first, and possibly last, Sari! I can now call myself a true Sri Lankan! The school is having a sports day type event at the start of August so the teachers wanted me to wear one to it! All I'm missing is the top for under it. Couldn't find the right colour here so will look in Colombo next weekend. The sports day is runs over 2days - the 1st day preschool, the following day afterschool. I thought I would just wear the same sari but I was wrong/ one of the teachers has given me hers to wear for one of the days.

Last night a group of us "English speaking foreigners" went for dinner at a restaurant that just reopened last Saturday after being rebuilt after Tsunami. There was about 8 or 9 of us altogether so it was a good group. The food was fine - it's nice to have a change of scenery.

There were fewer kids at the afterschool club today. This is because it's school exams and they are taking place between 12pm and 4pm, so the times are overlapping. I still had a full class as it was younger ones. It seems to be older ones doing exams.

Tonight I have cut out about 100 butterflies for the preschool to stick into their books tomorrow! If I don't dream about butterflies tonight, then it's a miracle!!
