Today at Preschool there were 32 children. I think that's probably the largest class there has been since I've been here but it didn't seem like it. The older preschool class had their English lesson, which I taught. They were learning about the letters "C" and "D" so they finally got to use their favourite word "crocodile"! I think they are ready to learn a new song, perhaps "Old MacDonald".

Next week is exam week for the afterschoolers. Therefore this week with the classes, I am going over everything I've taught them so far - mainly animals, the body, shapes and numbers. So far they are good at telling you what things are, but there reading and writing id holding them back. For example, they know the parts of the body but only recognize a few parts when they are written down. I'm writing the English papers for the classes so will need to start preparing them. They also have exams in maths, Sinhala and I think the final subject is along the lines of Social Studies.

Had another Sri Lanka breakfast today. This time it was noodles and potatoes in a sauce. It's funny how this now seems normal!!
