So yesterday the "birdie song" arrived in Sri Lanka. It seems to have been very well received-but then again why it wouldn't!!
I enjoy Friday's afterschool class-they are the most challenging as they are the oldest and can read, write and speak english very well, so it's not enough just to teach them a few words. Today they were answering the question "what sports do you like/not like?" So they had to decide when to answer with "I like to play" or "I like to" e.g. if it was swimming. So that went well - obviously there was a lot of "I like to play cricket!". It's become a tradition with them, that for the last 5minutes I draw a clock face on the whiteboard, tell them a time in English and then the draw it on. They have now started being more adventurous now with 7.22 and 8.37!
It's a nice early start tomorrow-heading off to the rainforest at 630, which is about a 4/4.5hour drive. Looking forward to it, should be good. Hopefully will have a few photos.
