Today the afterschoolers had a quiz to see what they had learnt over the past month. They were split into 2 teams and it was a narrow victory for the winning team! I was able to answer 3 questions (of the ones they translated) - what town the airport is in, the days of the week in English and 5 animals in English!! My guess that the President of Sri Lanka was called "George" was surprising wrong. You can't get them right all of the time!

The preschoolers had the paint out today. They love painting - give them a sheet of paper and they are content. I have decided tomorrow is going to be the day that "the birdie song" comes to Sri Lanka. That should be interesting - nothing like bringing a bit of embarrassing culture to a foreign country. I wonder how long before they find it as annoying as we do........never!!!!
