I gave into temptation today and had a Sri Lankan breakfast! It was strange to be eating vegetable noodles with a hard boiled egg and of course a bit of spice at 9am, but it was still good! Don't think I could do it everyday though - especially the days they have hoppers (a little like pancakes) with a banana and chilli paste! It isn't a meal if there's no spice, but the cook is very good and knows not to give our food too much off a kick! the best piece of advice i've been given so far is "if it's red, don't eat it" - it has worked so far!!
 
Today was a very English day in preschool, with singing and stories, plus the older class was learning the letter "B". The new boy (Amish) is settling in very well and was out with the other children today kicking the football about. Tears soon dry up when a ball comes out!
 
There were only 9 in my afterschool class today. Their teacher tells me that this class likes to learn so work hard, which is true as they are a very good class. It's funny as there's one boy in it who seems to understand my gestures more than others when I'm giving them instructions, so he acts as my translator if something needs more explanation and tells the class how to carry out the exercise! It's great having a 7 year old helper at times!!
