We have eventually made it through a church service without either me or Gordon fainting! It was a proud day! It's an Anglican church that we go to, led by Pastor Victor. I would say there are regularly about 20 people attending. I've noticed quite a lot of young people and all the kids just run around outside. I'm also starting to recognize the children that come to Smile at church so it's good to see some of them there. It's the church all the staff goes to so you get to see them "outside of work". The first thing you notice about Victor is that he's about 5ft nothing! He's very good as he'll translate into English, or at least paraphrase it. The song book is translated into English as well and they are usually ones that we know so we are able to sing along. Today the district Archbishop was visiting. Apparently he comes about every 3months. He bought his guitar with him which was a novelty as it's usually unaccompanied.

It was the turn of the Oasis Hotel today for lunch. This time we weren't joined by a cobra which is always a bonus!

The builders completed their hut today and tonight will be their first night in it. If workers have a way to travel, instead of going home, they build a makeshift hut to live in! Rather them than me - although it looks very impressive but I don't fancy cooking by a fire or sleeping on wooden boards. It's very common thing to do over here and quite a good idea since they are working 7 days a week from about 8am-6pm. Plus a well bonded workforce works better! Only down side is when you're lying in bed at 8am on a Saturday morning, only to be woken by hammering outside your window! O well, it's all worth it! The classrooms are starting to take shape. My technical description of it is they are marked out and there are a few big holes that have been dug - foundations I think. Also they were mixing cement today. Again this shows it's a good job Gordon was sent here to oversee the building work and not me!

As far as I know Renalli is coming down tomorrow for her twice monthly visit. Will be good to see her. Depending on how she gets on, she'll either just be down for the day or will stay a night.
