Today we decided to go to the Kennedy Space Center.

We had a buffet breakfast at "T.G.I Friday's" and headed for the space center at about 11.

We should have left earlier because the queue to get in was massive and after driving for an hour, we didn't get in till about 1pm (the place closes at 5pm).

It cost $50 EACH to get in! Unbelievable. But the center is funded entirely on the money we put into it, not taxpayer money so I suppose it's justifiable in that sense.

The first thing we did was go on the bus tour which took us past the Vehicle Assembly Building and some launch pads including the LC-39 which is where the Apollo missions launched from. Very cool! That's where the famous Apollo 11 (the first spaceship that landed on the moon with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin) left from! I was starstruck (hehe get it?)

Along the way we saw a bunch of crazy looking birds and alligators! The Kennedy Space Center is also a wildlife reserve which is cool but I couldn't help but wonder how they keep the alligators out of the buildings? I'm just imagining all these rocket scientists coming home from work with missing limbs from alligator bites!

On the way to the center there are a lot of swamps and a river that runs alongside the road. Lets just say you wouldn't want to stop on the side of the road for a pee! I saw a few too many alligators in the water for my liking.

We stopped a few times during the bus tour and saw a bunch of cool movies about some of the Apollo missions and headed back to the main area.

We went on a simulated "Shuttle Launch Experience" which was no where near as vomit inducing as the Epcot one.

Lastly we saw an IMAX 3D film, narrated by Leo DiCaprio, about the famous "Hubble" telescope. The scenery was amazing!

For dinner we went to the "Hard Rock Cafe" on CityWalk at Universal. Stu insists he must go to every "Hard Rock" we encounter. This one was the biggest one in the world!

Tomorrow: we're on a mission to find the best swamp tour and we have dinner at "Medieval Times" booked!
