Well I made it down south to Bariloche and Im planning to make a Patagonia trek tomorrow. The weather doesnt look great but I figure I might as well at least give it a shot while Im down here. The plan is to do a 2 or 3 day hike to the nearby mountains staying at the Alpine Club cabins along the way. The city is beautiful. The setting somewhat reminds me of Vancouver, while the city reminds me of Nelson, B.C. with a Spanish touch.

I'm heading out to Mar Del Plata today to hit the beach. I got back from a 2 day hike yesterday. I have to say that the 2nd day was the hardest hike/scramble that I've ever done. It took me a full eight hours of purely vertical descent and ascent to reach the botom from the hut that I stayed at. But it was well worth it for the amazing views. Last night I went for some good Argentina steak with a couple of Canadians I met during my hike. I have to say that the steak here is so much better than in Alberta....and a hell of a lot cheaper. I've never seen such large portions of steak. My only complaint is that I have yet to go to a restaurant that has ketchup bottles instead of the little packets. The search continues.
