September 15th dawned with strong wind and steady rain with no promise of clearing.

On our way from Back to Tarbet we saw several splendid waterfalls created by the steady rain but unfortunately due to the weather we were not able to truly enjoy them.

At Tarbet we awaited the arival of the Ferry and once on board and ready to depart we were advised to expect medium to high seas for the crossing to Uig on the Isle of Skye.  The crossing was not all that bad despite the fact that on several occasions the water broke over the observation cabin where we were seated which was located on the fifth deck - our car was on the first deck.

After arriving safely in Uig we travelled north to Kilmur where Flora MacDonald is buried in search of a tomb stone for John MacKinnon.  Once at the graveyard and after donning rain gear a valliant attempt was made to find the grave stone but the high wind and driving rain proved too much and we departed after I had been thoroughly soaked - rather a discouraging event.

We then drove through Skye stopping n Broadford to do laundry and then on to our B & B in Kyleakyn - which was nice but a bit on the small side.  The weather eased somewhat as evening approached.
