    It was sad to leave the Veser family vineyard but exiting to continue down the beautiful California coast.  It was short drive from sanfran to santa cruz about 2hrs.  When we first drove into the town of santa cruz however, a cyclist turned into the van and fell to the ground, we felt bad for him so we stopped to see if he was alright, he assured us he was o.k. and continued on. (totally his fault ). 
    We found the beach, checked out the surf, it wasn't really happening, but there were a few long boarders out.  Saw alot of sea lions bathing in the sun, it was like a national geographic show they were really close, all flopping over each other battling for the most comfortable spot, it was cool.  Not to impressed with the huge amusement park on the beach with roller coasters and stuff.
    So we carried on down to pismo.
