Ahhhhh the first crisp morning and sleep in our van. Was surprisingly comfy, a bit cold but we knew the warmth was not to far off. After a good healthy breakfast of protien bars we were off dark and early at 7:30. The drive just kept getting more and more exciting with the more coast line filled with windy up and down roads. Around six we stopped for gas and just as we were about to continue on a hippy convinced us to give him a ride to the next town. Hoping the hippy would make the next hour go quick with some interesting stories we were much disappointed. Instead we had to put up with his stench, especially Tyler who had to sit in the back with him. Trying to make it to our destination in Fairfield at a decent time we pushed Gloria as hard as she would go but our appetite could not hold out so we stopped for our first taste of Mexican food of our trip which was very satisfying. Only a couple hours away we took our food to go and kept on going. After a long long day of on 15:30 hours we finally arrive in Fairfield. We all knew it was going to be nice but we never knew it was going to be this nice since we would be staying at the Vezer Family Vineyard. After saying hi to Frank Vezer he took us down to his cottage where we would be staying. The next day was deffinitely not your average day as we enjoyed a day of tasting fine wine and accompanied by fine association. We had the pleasure of Bob Vezer giving us a tour of the Blue Victorian Vineyard and showing us the glorious town of Fairfield. So that puts us to Friday  December 26 of our trip. We  headed into San Francisco with the Vezer family, but were not allowed to take our van to follow them into town because old Gloria might not be fast enough. So they lent us a vehicle with a bit more power which was very appreciated and much enjoyed. After a nice Italian lunch with the Vezer family by the ocea we headed into San Francisco and  experienced our first drive over the Golden Gate Bridge, very exciting. With only a couple of hours of day light left we checked out the Fishermans Wharf and Alcatraz from a far. San Fransico was a very unique city with some amazing sites and very steep roads. Thanks to the Vezer family and friends for making our San Francisco experience that much better.

Wow - What Hospitality!
How exciting to meet such wonderful, hospitable brothers. It looks (from the pictures and comments) like you stay at the Winery was so posh!

Hope you remember these wonderful people :) We sure will.
