A few recommendations for anyone travelling to East Africa:
Take the following:
Visine for your eyes - they get very dry and dusty.
Saline Nasal spray - your nose also gets dry and dusty.
Baby wipes for when it is not possible to shower.
Olay Facial wipes
Purell or hand sanitizer.
Chicken Noodle Cup-a Soup for when you are ill - and you might be!
Herbal tea bags - also for when you are ill.
Peanut butter so you can always just make a PB and banana sandwhich!
Gravol and Imodium and the Antibiotics for severe diarrhea.
Malerone as directed to prevent Malaria. (One lady on our group got Malaria in her first week in Africa)
Pens and Pencils and school notebooks for the children. They REALLY appreciate these things.

Pack lightly and don't take black or navy blue clothes as the tse tse flies are attracted to black and blue.

Always have toilet paper with you!

Visit the Massai villages and schools. It is a worthwhile experience.

Take your sense of adventure and go if you have the chance!

We were glad to get home but really enjoyed the trip and had an amazing experience.

We arrived home in Ottawa safe and sound however our luggage was not intact. We discovered that one bag had been opened and our binoculars, Anthony's electric shaver and our international electric plug adapters were missing. Apparently this is a common thing and most diappointing.  Now the hassle with the claims begins!
Almost 1 year later the claim was settled and we were reimbursed for the value of replacing the items. Don't give up on a claim  you need to be persisitent.
