Rach Gia was great. Great hotel - The Palace Hotel - new and surprise surprise, not where the Lonely Planet says it was. The fellow who seems to run the show gave us 5 star service and told us it was his 'mission' to have us enjoy our stay. All the staff were fab and we were invited to share someone's birthday cake one night and had quite a bit of fruit forced on us.
Sightseeing-wise, we were a bit pagoda'ed out to be honest, but did manage to find a particularly nice one (Tam Bao Pagoda) on one of our random rambles. Also ended up collecting more kids (don't panic Mum, I'm not going all Angelina Jolie on you), all in school uniform, high spirits and all very excited to be trying out their English. Food-wise... well, that's Grant's area of expertise so will let him fill you in.
