Today was not a good day. I got up and went to the ferry with the Dutch friend to see if the ferry to Sape is leaving or not. Unfortunately, the tides are quite high and it is not promising to leave for the next two days. Dutch friend went for the flight from LabuangBajo to Bali and I started to find other options around Flores.

I wanted to go see the Kelimutu Volcano and its three lakes. But the flight to Ende which is the closest town was around 100USD so I decided to pass this option. I got my flight to Bali on the 13th from Merpati for 430,000Rp which was a promotion price. Then I head back to the hotel and got my stuff to get to Ruteng for a day or so.

Flores transportation is as confusing as hell. I got to the first bemo to get to the second bemo to get to the third bemo which was finally going to Ruteng for 72,000Rp. The price is nothing but the travel duration is 6hours if you are lucky. The best option is to go to the main bus terminal in LabuangBajo and catch a mini bus for 50,000Rp which will take only 4hours.

I got to Ruteng after traveling with a pig and a chicken in the bemo full of locals who were just making fun of me alone tourist. Could not even understand why they do that.

I went to Rima Hotel which is around 3km from the bus terminal. I met up with William and the Israel friend from Komodo at the same place and whole bunch of other French people who have been traveling from further East to here.

I realized if I want to be safe than sorry about my flight on Thursday, I need to go back tomorrow around 4pm with the mini bus to LabuanBajo which really sucks since I just got here.

I had a dinner in a nice restaurant with one of the French ladies before going to bed.
