My this is a big rig!  I drove it today through the twisties with David in the sidecar and we are still married!  He is getting really into the grove, I will need another day to feel really comfortable. Today we rode Hwy 6 along the Tasman Sea, it looks much like the coast of California, visited a seal colony and enjoyed the mountain passes.

When we picked up the rig at Thunder Bikes - they said they had filled both gas tanks, the one on the bike and the AUX tank in the trunk of the sidecar.... they lied... Happy Valentines Day!  We ran out of gas about 20 miles from the closest station and bought some gas from a nice young lad with a dirt bike.  He drained the gas from his tank for us.  Now the bike and the extra tank are full.  We have arrived one night ahead of the BSA tour and have the camping cabin to ourselves, tomorrow this choice little spot will have 6 of us in it!  My won't that be cozy!!

Tomorrow we will ride around a lake and enjoy the Ocean - it is very cold and windy just now so I am waiting until morning to take pictures.  We are right on the beach at the end of the Greymouth airport runway :)  Exciting! WE will be here two nights then off to Fox Glacier.
