Fresh and ready to go, determined not to miss the walking tour this time (schedule double checked), we went to Zoo station at 10 and took the tour. 4 hours walking. From Zoologischer Garten to Hackescher Markt were it all began. From there to the Museuminsel, Alte Nationalgalerie, Lustgarten, Berliner Dom, Altes Museum; Unter den Linden, again; Brandenburger Tor; Holocaust Memorial; Hitler's bunker and the Reich Chancellery; the former Luftfahrt-ministerium; Site of the Gestapo Headquarters and Topography of Terror; Checkpoint Charlie and Gendarmen Markt. It's well worth the walk. We had our late lunch there and decided on where to go on the rest of the day.
We went back to the Topografie des Terrors, pass by the Martin-Gopius-Bau heading towards Potsdamer Platz (and the Sony Center). Walked around the Kulturforum (the Kunstgewerbemuseum, the Gemäldegalerie, Kunstbibliothek, Matthäuskirche and Neue Nationalgalerie) and took a bus to the Jüdisches Museum.
Not much left to do for the day but dinner and a couple of beers....
