Where I stayed
Main Beach Caravan Park
Hit the Gold Coast and it really hasn't changed much. The caravan park is great. At the northern end of Surfers at Main beach, 2km from Sea World. Good spot for my morning bike ride, coffee, paper and people watching.
Here for the Theme parks though.
Day 1 - Movie World
Nic and Cam so........ excited about going and just couldnt wait. Had a great day, went on the rides at least once. Not sure if it was Lethal Weapon or Roadrunner that put my neck out - probably a combination of both. Nicole braved them all and most more than once. Cameron tried most but opted out for anything that went upside down (cant really blame him)
Peter decided that would be our 1st park on a week end as he knew there would be more people and we'd have to queue up a little longer - therefore we wouldn't have to go on the rollercoaster too many times!! there is method in his madness sometimes.
Day 2 - Sea World
We all loved this day, Bermuda Triangle was a bit scary for the kids but once they knew what to expect were all good. Lost count how many times we went on all the rides - no queues, no waiting and we could often stay on and ride again without lining up. No complaints from anyone!!!
Day 3 - Wet & Wild
Sun is out, about 30 cars in the carpark and again had the place to ourselves. A few of the rides were closed but we had a great day on the ones that were open. Tried them all again at least once - actually saw Peter really truly scream for the 1st time ever - Kamikaze - once in his life is enough for him - total terror - sheer drop - speeds up to 50km - we couldn;t stop laughing but he did it! I know someone known as the HAWK who we think got to the top and retreated once she was there! Just happened to bump into her at Sea World - gee is anyone doing any work or are all on leave?
Tried everything here at least once and had a great day.
Day 4 - Return to Movie World
Went back for our favourites but just none of us could find the nerve to do the Superman ride.
Just the morning at the theme park and back to the caravan park for a swim.
Probably go back to Wet and Wild and Sea World for the morning on Thu and Fri and by then we will have had enough. Off to a quieter pot called Wooli (fishing again - last chance to catch the big one )
