Hi Everyone, my very first entry, I have a lot to live up to. I am currently sitting in our room with a plastic cup full of a local drop. Cant take the Australian out of the girl.
Well first breakfast (not as good as SF), but the kids eyes bulged out of their sockets when they saw huge donuts for breakfast, with pleading eyes how could we say "no you can have cereal." So with a few extra donuts wrapped up in paper napkins we hit the road in the beast. The real test for cam,  driving in a city, changing lanes, crossing traffic and looking at blonde's out for their morning jogs. Well with in minutes, the thump thump of loud music could be heard coming from a Grey beast with a sun roof open (LL Cool Cam). First stop infiltrating the neighbourhood of Beverley hills, wow every home is unique, every garden is immaculate and the cars well thank heavens our car kept up with the jones's. Every house has their own team of gardeners and just like you see in the movies they are all Mexican. Another noticeable observation, no one gets moving until after 10am. Most shops don't open until 9am or 10am, the streets are quiet and there is an abundance of available parking even on rodeo drive. Well after photo stops in Beverly hills it was off to Santa Monica Pier. We arrived at the Pier at 10.30 and of course not open until 11am, so we went to the promenade in Santa Monica, very much like rodeo drive. Lauren and I felt comfortable as we were quite dressed up for the occasion, Sean, well doesn't really care what he looks like and Cameron well in his words he felt the homeless were better dressed them him. Hey I said your an Australian whats wrong with trackies and sand shoes. After half an hour of looking in designer stores(sorry wenches still haven't found anything to spend my money on but I will), we made our way down to the bitterly cold Pier. The kids rode on the ferris wheel and had a game of knock the cat off, well to Sean's horror Lauren who was softly throwing the balls at the cats knocked 3 down and won a rather large cute dog while Sean who was hurling with all his might only managed 1 downed cat, Cameron feeling sorry for Sean, thinks he can knock them down, if Lauren can i can, he managed none. So with tears starting to well, I promised Sean that i would get him something special which cheered him up. Well he didn't have to wait long as at lunch, a great place called bubba gump after forrest gump, (great shrimp bisque and fantastic array of shrimp cooked many ways) Sean received a light up cup with his drink, score even.
After a great lunch it was off to spot a movie star or two, we drove to Ben afflecks house, but as we found out all stars houses have 20 foot high hedges or fences, so I have a great shot of Ben's gate. Well onwards we went, to the Griffith observatory were I had heard there is a great view of LA and the sign. On our way up the hill, low and behold we spot a film crew, there were cranes and cameras, a whole parking lot full of movie star trailers with security guards, but still no stars, onwards we drove up the hill to the observatory, wow another film crew, this time a doco. Little did we know at this time we would become apart of this production, but first, the view was fantastic and I still cant believe I have seen the sign. The observatory was fantastic on the outside, but of course the observatory is closed on a Monday, the only day of the week, and what day is it?????? So we didn't get to look inside. Well as we continued around and came back to the front to look at the statue of important astrologers, and discuss with the kids the importance of these men, we look up to see the narrator of the doco walking towards us, camera crew following. We here the director say keep rolling and there you have it folks we did see stars. US. Probably end up on the cutting room floor, but hey we have made it to Hollywood people move over the Griswold's here come the Jiggins's.
The star spotting had just begun, while walking back to the hotel from the car hire place, Cam was walking past a theater near the Kodak theater, and he walks right into the Hollywood premiere of iron man 3 and sees Mickey Rourke and Hugh Hefner, then when at the local supermarkets he then bumps into guy Sebastian. My turn tomorrow George Clooney, Brad Pitt oh why not lets through in Justin Timberlake.
Which brings me to now, kids are watching American TV a 114 channels no less. Cam and shan are out having dinner, kids and I felt like staying in tonight. Well tomorrow we are off on a tour of Hollywood with cams cousin. Till tomorrow goodnight and blog soon, take care all luv char xxoo.

Sounds so fantastic. If you bump into Clooney make sure he puts his slippers under your bed(or send him to bunvegas and my house). We are of course all envious but excited for you all. The biggest thing happening here in the west are politicians bonking each other, the eagles keep losing and of course the dockers keep winning. Jaydon is on band camp and Ben told him what happens on band camp stays on band camp...straight over his head and his first state game of b ball this weekend. Pee has his ball this weekend and mum has made him this awesome vest, he will look hot.

Love and miss you all. Pete xxx
