The trip from Newport, Oregon to Reno, Nevada I talked about in the Redwood post. Bandon was one of our stops on the drive that day. I dont know why. I think it was because we saw that lighthouse on the internet and thought it looked like a cool place to stop and it was. The ocean was pretty intense that morning. The walkway going out into the ocean really played mind games with you as you walked out because of the water moving in and out. There were a couple spots where the ocean had shoved some timber onto the walkway and you had to cross it. It really made you nervous about falling in and the way the waves were crashing into that thing you knew you didnt have much of a chance of not getting hurt. We saw the lighthouse and it was really interesting. The beach had the big sand bunkers and a lot of timber on the beach. It was a really cool place to stop. I would have liked to see more of the town and not just that little area of the beach.
