Route: From Calgary, AB to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (SK)
Kilometres: 708

After a great brekkie with the Rudolphs, we set off to Drumhellar, deep in the Alberta Badlands. We found the World’s Largest Dinosaur, and then we kept heading east on the Hoodoo Trail – which lead us to the Hoodoos! Quite the interesting rock formations. Though we didn’t stay long to explore, as the mossies were loving us a little too much, so we hopped back in the car and kept driving (as we had another 6 hours to Saskatoon). I must admit I was a bit dubious about the drive towards Saskatchewan, but we ended up taking some great back highways and the weather was fantastic, so it actually made the drive really nice with some great scenery (yes, I did just say the prairies are scenic...). We met with some very long stretches of straight roads, and an entire alphabet of naming prairie dogs (both dead and alive). Took a couple detours to random towns like Smiley and Biggar, and then finally made it to Saskatoon – to our skyscraper view from the Saskatoon Inn. Thought we’d order a bit of room service after the long drive and enjoy the view!
