We are in Kerala and on a beach! What more could you want? Varkala is a gorgeous town overlooking the beach on a cliff. It's so picturesque it doesn't really seem real sometimes.

We were happy to be in a small, touristy place (read porridge is available for breakfast!). The waves were absolutely huge at the beach, and we spent the better part of the day just being tossed around by the water. It was thrilling and actually pretty tiring! The beaches on the West side of India (the Arabian Sea side) are suited for swimming whereas the beaches on the Bay of Bengal side are much rougher.
