We decided since we arrived in Malaysia a few days before we originally thought, we would take a side trip to Singapore. Latha's dad grew up in Singapore and Latha lived there until she was five. We had a couple of friends to visit and a place to stay when we were there. After a night train, we walked around the shopping district of Singapore and window shopped in all the fancy shops. Then we headed for Little India - Singapore style.
On the second day it was off to the island of Sentosa, a mini Disneyland type place on the southern most point of Continental Asia. We saw the beach, the Underwater world and the pink dolphin show. The Images of Singapore exhibition was a lot of fun. Calvin and Siva played some traditional games, and became the star attractions for other tourists for a while. We stayed at the island for the spectacular night light show, Songs of the Sea. Then it was off to Chinatown on the MRT for a late dinner. We love the hawker food stalls here.
We spent our last day at the Bird park to look at all the wonderful and colorful birds before boarding a night train back to Kuala Lumpur.
