After our tour though the Palace we set out walking through Bangkok to Wat Traimit home to the Golden Buddha. Weighing in at 5.5Ton and standing 3m high it was very impressive. The walk there took us through Bangkok's Chinatown an experience in it's own and not helping our problem of having no luggage.
But good news when we got back to the hotel the luggage was found and on it's way
That evening as were were having dinner on a busy street, there seemed to be more than the average commotion. There were camera crews, and it seemed like they were trying to clear the street. We found out a few minutes later why - there were three elephants all decorated and walking down as part of a film! Oh, the sights of Thailand.
The following day we left to go to Ayuthaya, but before we did we wanted to go to the Hindu and South Indian (Tamil) Temple in Bangkok. Sri Mariamman built in the 1860's was my first South Indian Temple and very colourful and a nice way to leave Bangkok.
