. It took 2 buses to get us back to the Summit, Adison went straight down for a nap. I meet back up with Becky and Chad for lunch, then we headed back out to ski some more. We last about 2 more hours before we came in. The wind was so cold, my feet and hands were numb. The snow conditions were really good, I was surprised. Ive never been a big fan of east coast skiing, but Snowshoe has made me change my thoughts! When we got back to the condo and started stripping off layers, my feet and hands began to ache and felt like they were on fire. This lasted about 15 minutes, and then my body started coming back to normal temp again!
We hung around the condo and waited for the girls to take naps before dinner. Adison loves pizza, so we took her to a pizza place at the village. They sang happy birthday to her, which she loved, and brought her out a cupcake. Next, we went to the Big Top and there Adison and Ansley played games, jump in the bounce houses, and played around in the jungle gym they had there. Adison also did this bungy thing they had set up. After her turn was finished, she kept trying to go back and do it again. The girls started melting down around 8:30, so we decided to go back to the condo. Traveling is hard on little kids, and the parents! LOL, but we are having so much fun, watching them have fun.
Today we took Adison skiing for the first time. There was a big snowstorm last night, and it has lasted into today. The wind is brutal, at about 40mph, with 15 degree temp. Not exactly ideal conditions, but we are just happy there's some good snow. We decided to go to Silver Creek to start Adison out, she wast a big fan of the wind. At first she didn't want to ski, but we sort of forced her and she enjoyed it. Chad and Becky took her down the mountain the first run. I would go ahead and get pictures and video of her coming down. On the way back up on the chairlift she started to get a little cranky. The wind was blowing so hard, and it was very cold. We went down a green run again, and then I decided she probably needed to go home and take a nap. We went back to the locker areas and took off our boots and just tried to warn up a little before heading back to the condo. There was a bus that shuttled people back and forth between the village and silver creek so we decided to do that since you get ZERO cell service at Snowshoe to call and have someone pick you up
