We started our day by driving from Munich to Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad) in the Czech Republic. It was a nice drive through rolling hills spotted with small towns and a few castles. Steve B. did all of the driving (great job!). In Karlovy Vary, Steve C., Sue, Lynn, and Patty all went to the spa! The spa was called the Elisabeth Baths and we each enjoyed a mineral bath and a massage. The massages were very cool and included some pounding and slapping!!

Steve B. and Dad ran amuck in town while the rest of us were in the spa. It was a challenge getting a parking spot for the van and getting the money (in the right currency) to pay for it, but they figured it out and spent some time roaming around town.

We all met for a late lunch at a restaurant overlooking the river. We dined al fresco, which was very nice.

It was a quick trip into and out of Karlovy Vary, but it won't soon be forgotten!
