Haven't really had much to update this about recently cos I've been busy studying. However, we got a long weekend because of the beginning of the 200th year since Argentina began to make it's way to freedom from Spain and went to a concert in the city centre. It was really good, if a little busy - there were nearly 200,000 people there! Didn't know any of the music but the atmosphere was good, so was the pizza!

I finish the course on Friday so will have a wee bit more time to explore the city again, although I'm intending to do some voluntary work too. I've really enjoyed my first 4 weeks here - can't believe it's that long, although sometimes it feels like I've been away for ages!

Things I've learned:

Drivers are just as crazy as my first impression, although I've seen surprisingly few accidents.

The green man has little or no influence on whether a car will drive over a pedestrian crossing, you always have to be on your guard!

Apparently milk can come in a bag - hard to balance in the fridge though! Same goes for yoghurt.

There appears to be no limit to the number of dogs one person will try and walk - see photo!

Kirsty would go mad at the amount of dogs dirt everywhere - it's not particularly nice.

There s a technique to continuing to walk while taking off a jacket and replacing a rucksack when going onto the always roasting subte - I've mostly managed to pick it up!

Dulce de Leche is fantastic (think of the caramel in millionaire shortbread but even better).

Irn Bru can't be found :o(

It's possible to acclimatise very quickly to the weather - last week I found myself putting on a jumper and jacket cos it was only 16 degrees!
