I am now back in Sydney and tomorrow I am my flight into my last continent and final legs of incredible journey.
Well, I had to do Bondi beach and to be honest it is seriously over-rated. The beach is lovely of course as its very big but the facilties around it is rather like Blackpool pier.
I did not really enjoy so in the glorious I walked along the beach front twice chilled out in the sun for an hour and marvelled at the ladies before returing to Bondi Junction which is a fair distance.
On Saturday it was bridge climb. The process of paying and climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge and I have done it. To be honest I crapped myself (metaphorically). Its A$199 which is expensive but the views on a clear day were amazing. It takes 3hrd 30mins and half of that is getting the climbing equipment on and accessorised. The first part is actually walking underneath the bridge to the main centre point at the two main pylons. This is bloody scary, well, for me. Walking along two wooden plancks 50m high and completely see through. I focused on the Opera house in the distance and to myself you can make it. It didn't really help with Dave behind me getting ahead of himself and nudging me. Once at the pylons we have to climb 4 sets of vertical ladders. Once achieved the walk is relatively easy as you have waist height rails and none see-through steel. Very good indeed but expensive. Our guide and photography was not happy with me not smiling. I was shitting myself love and too busy overcoming fear!
My final day Sydney involved having tickets to the tri-nations beach cricket downtown. England, Australia and New Zealand greats competing in their older ages. It was exciting and great fun for all involved. Although I have to say Philip DeFreitas still cannot catch to save his life. What a muppet.
The highlight has to be obtaining Dennis Lillee autograph! I could of got DeFreitas and Gladstone Small but though nah as did not want to spoil the legend signature.
