Christmas Morning came and we were snug as a bug in a rug under all our blankets when we began to hear some noise. It was around 6am and the boys decided to go into the music room they had and bang on the drums to wake everyone up! Kids will be kids and they wanted to see what Papa Noel had brought them. So we all corralled in the Kitchen where the tree was as they handed out the gifts. Of course the little ones wasted no time in ripping through them while the older ones gathered their packages up and took them back to their beds so they could open them. It was especially fun to watch the 6 year old boy named Sanko open up the gift we brought him. The day before Mario asked him what he wanted for Christmas and he said that he had been asking for the last two years for a remote control car. I about fell out when he said that because that is exactly what we brought him! At first when we unpacked the gifts we tried the car to make sure it worked. We had put new batteries in it before we left home but when Mario turned it on it wasn't working. Mario was really bummed and said he thought it might be the batteries. We went to the store to get new batteries and even those didn't work! So we gathered up a few different ones from Alan and Chara and finally got it fixed! Sanko was a happy camper to say the least. He was running that car all over the place. We took it easy the rest of the day hanging around the Casa and watching the kids with their presents. That night we called them all into the Kitchen to give them one last gift and to say good bye. I got tears in my eyes when Mario began to tell them that they had made our Christmas a little brighter by sharing it with us. Then out of nowhere the kids came up to Mario and I and gave us big hugs That was the best present of all.
