I can tell I'm getting back to reality, because I am waking up early...mentally going over my "to do" list! Why do I do that? The entire time we were on vacation I slept so well. For the first time in a LONG time I was mentally relaxed. I promised myself I wouldn't start working on school projects until we were on our way home...and I didn't! I started yesterday...and now I'm waking up at 5:00 AM! It's kind of a love/hate relationship. I love processing a new school year. Once I get started, I hate to stop. Today I was a busy beaver on my laptop...woo hoo! (I get on a happy "new school year" high! I know...kind of crazy!)

We revised our plans and decided to stay in Sutton, West Virginia instead of the Somerset Walmart. We did this for three reasons: 1. air conditioning 2. This will probably be our last trip of the year...busy fall ahead. We need to get the tanks dumped/cleaned out. And 3, now we can put the West Virginia sticker on our maps...we haven't camped in WV before.

As I was entering the fuel information onto my chart tonight, I realized that we have been in 6 states over the last 2 days: Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia. And, yes, we stopped for fuel in each state. (Yes, Todd and Brad, I have a beautiful chart which tracks the number of miles we've traveled, price for fuel, miles per gallon, and total amount spent!!) I will share some final statistics at the end of our trip!

We stopped for lunch at a Sam's Club. (LOL)...fountain Coke and pizza. We arrived at the Sutton KOA about 8:15. What a hoot! Their "sister company" is the Days Inn, which sits directly in front of the campground. You have to check-in at the Days Inn. (This was a first!) It was kind of cool, because you can enjoy the amenities at the hotel. The kids were thrilled because they have an indoor pool...open until 11:00. We went back to the campers, ate supper, and headed back down to the hotel so the kids could enjoy the pool. Unfortunately, a storm (with lots of lightening) came along and they closed the pool before we got there!

While we were in the hotel, I discovered that we are only 4 minutes from the Fiestaware Outlet! Hmmm...wonder if we can stop there before we leave tomorrow?? I quickly texted my Fiestaware buddies to alert them! (Sally and Karen, I hope you got my text. I haven't heard back from you yet!)

Off to bed...five and a half more hours of driving and we're back in Red Lion.
