I have been waiting for this day for so long now! The best part was getting to see Jessica, my best friend of ten years! She was there to greet me at the port!! She helped me to run all of my errands, including the post office where we encountered a pretty grouchy woman who is not happy with her job, haha. Subway, Starbucks and Barnes and Noble were all on the list of what to do with our time! Of course, the beach was also a priority.
Getting back felt like a dream and it was a nice transition to be able to spend two days with Jess before a long couple of flights home to my mom! For the first time ever, I flew first class! Helps to have 2 checked bags I guess, haha. Landing in Kansas City was the greatest relief ever. It was so great to see my mom and to walk out into the Kansas City evening, drive back through Liberty and then head on home. Now... for the unpacking and resettling part of it all! All I know is that I am done traveling for awhile! Feels good to be home.
