Mel is falling asleep on her feet, we have at least 3 hours before we can check our bags in but no point going into the city. I wonder if you can busk in Melbourne airport? (with no instruments and nothing but our charm and good looks, neither of which are working for us at the moment).. Hmmmmmmm.. Maybe not.
Sign off for now
Cait and Mel
So it's about 9 am in Melbourne airport and we have about 6 hours to go before the next leg of the journey. There is nothing fun about waiting in airports. We've figured that out already and we haven't even really started yet. So far the trip has had a couple of hiccups. I already knew that I (Cait) wasn't that keen on flying. Apparently that was a bit of an understatement. The majority of the flight (which really wasn't that bad for coming out of Hobart) involved Mel having to poke me in the arm constantly to stop me from having monumental panic attacks. I don't know if she's going to be able to keep that up in the long term. Fortunately hours of singing Josh Pyke songs in the asylum came to the rescue and kept us vaguely distracted for the rest of the flight. Oh, we also sat in the wrong seats and had to be politely asked to move by a pair of bemused businessmen and now we're both feeling a little sick.. Hopefully that will pass. The one highlight was coming into land where Mel and I (both feeling slightly traumatised by the landing) looked out the window and went 'oooooh, a cemetary!!' Bodes well for the rest of the trip that it was the one thing that could really distract us!
