The general idea of Trucadero is a bunch of poor people agressively selling goods, like plastic birds, lazer pens and a large assortment of key chains. A small keychain is about 5 euros!!!!!!!!!!!!
One man grabbed onto me and showed me his wares. 15 Euros for a plastic and popsicle stick bird. He asked my brother how much he would offer and Parker rezsponded "I will give you 10 Euros"..... These people pounce on any offer so when my mom said no the man pushed her out of the way while saying let the little man speak. Parker, fake bird in hand did not have any clue what to do. I told him to just drop the bird and walk away. Of course in the end we did, after about 20 mins. of negotiation. After I asked Parker what he was thinking offering so much and he said he wanted to keep the deal going. I then replied so you want him to say "No I will take 9 €" and my brother said "isn't that how it works?".
Hah, well after that we were attacked by about 40 other people and a group of people asking if we spoke english. I said yes and was attacked by cardboard all saying "I am from Bosnia, I am hungry please I have 8 kids." Everyone I saw said the same thing!! Of course my, mom freaked out screaming they work in teams your getting pickpocketed!!!!!! All I had in the bag was a jacket...
Later on I bought a fake painting for 20 euros and soon realized my mistake...... There goes my hard-earned cash. Well, at least I have a memory of Trocadero.
And, for years will laugh at the memories of buying this painting in Trocadero!!
