On Tuesday morning, September 11, 2001, the United
States came under attack when four commercial airliners were hijacked
and used to strike both of the Twin Towers in New York and the Pentagon in Washington, CD. 2,973 people tragically lost
their lives. Because of the actions of the 40 passengers and crew aboard Flight 93, the attack on the nation's capital (or White House) was
thwarted.
Flight 93 National Memorial is located in southwestern
Pennsylvania. The Memorial is within a 500-mile radius of two-thirds of
the nation's population; 2 1/2 hours driving time from
Pittsburgh, 3 1/2 hours from the Washington D.C./Baltimore area, and
