You know I like spanish better than English in some ways, because the English translation of the title of this blog ¨My friend that is a girl and my girlfriend¨ just doesn´t sound nearly as good. Anyways, my friend that is a girl, Annie Hilliard, has been studying in Argentina for a few months and has her own place so I crashed there with her and we had quite a bit of fun before Jules came as she showed me around town so that I was ready when Jules arrived two days later. Things started off on the expensive foot as Jules flew in at like 3AM so I had to take a taxi to meet her, then her flight was changed to a different airport at the last minute so I had to shoot over there in a taxi... but it was totally worth it. The next few days went by a blur as Jules and I kept ourselves busy with a tango lesson, tango show, ice cream, tourist sites, and of course late night blockbuster movies. This of course all led up to our four and final night in Buenos Aires when Jules, Annie and I all put on our finest clothes (I bought some, don´t worry) and went to the orchestra and the one and only Teatro Colon (Colon Theatre). Built when Buenos Aires was one of the richest cities in the world this place suppoesedly boasts some of the best accoustics in the world. Needless to to say that the performance and concert hall were incredible and ever time I remembered that I only payed $10 for my seat it just made it all the sweeter! Afterwards we had to skip the late night movie as Jules and I had to pack for a little stint across the river into Uruguay. See yah there...
